Galvalume Roofing Sheets (Trapezoidal)

Superior Protection with Aluminum-Zinc Alloy Coating for Long-Lasting Performance

Galvalume roofing sheets provide exceptional durability and protection against corrosion with a 55% aluminum and 43.5% zinc coating. Ideal for commercial, residential, and industrial uses, they offer energy efficiency and a sleek, uniform appearance

Galvalume roofing sheet is popular for commercial, residential, agricultural, and industrial applications. They are also known as Bare Galvalume roofing sheets or GL sheets. They are constructed of steel and an aluminum-zinc alloy, resulting in a versatile roofing product with remarkable qualities. Bare Galvalume roofing sheets are well-known for their strong heat reflection, which keeps buildings cooler during hot weather and lowers cooling energy usage. This energy-saving element adds to ecologically friendly construction practices while also lowering building owners’ utility expenditures.

GL sheets have a layer of Aluminium and Zinc on top of the base steel roof. It has an alloy coating of 43.5 % Zinc (Zn), 55% Aluminium (Al) and 1.5 % Silicon.

Zinc coating protects steel by way of sacrificial protection. Aluminium protects steel by way of barrier protection and since Zn-Al coating contains both Zinc and Aluminium, it provide both sacrificial & barrier protection to steel. Zn-Al coating contains also provides improved performance against chipping and other external damages

Aluminium as a metal has properties that provide better corrosion resistance as compared to other metals. Its also helps give the steel roofing sheet a cleaner and more uniformed appearance.

Galvalume Coated steel is used directly for roofing, known as Bare Galvalume Steel Roofing Sheet and when it is paint coated it is known as PPGL Pre-painted Steel Roofing Sheets. It is characterised by:

The product is made of high tensile / strength steel, which after special pre-treatment is coated with Galvalume / Aluminium Zinc alloys having metals like Aluminium (55%) which provides barrier protection to steel and Zinc (43.5%) which has sacrificial properties. After this the product is coated on both the surfaces by primer and paint for superior finish and long life. Various types of paint coating are used under to suit varied industrial requirement.
